Certified Nurse's Assistant
Do you dream of working in the medical field? The CNA program could be your key to an entry-level position in a rewarding and challenging career field. Not only does it teach the skills needed to be a CNA, it also focuses on the emotional needs of the patient. The class involves lecture and hands-on lab instruction as well as a 16-hour clinical component (clinical time may vary). Emphasis is placed on working with patients in the long-term care setting. Upon successful completion of this program, students will be eligible to take the nurse’s assistant certification exam. Students must be at least 16 years old to enroll in classes.
Experience as a nurse assistant supplies a solid background in the patient care area. Many nursing schools strongly suggest that students have work experience as a CNA.
