Housing Personnel
STI Housing has two live-in professionals, full-time maintenance and full-time security staff that are available to assist residents. Our staff is dedicated to making the STI housing experience a positive one!
Andrew VanZanten
Director of Housing
Andy has been with STI Housing since 2007. Previous to his time at Southeast Tech, he served as Hall Director and Housing Coordinator at Augustana College in Sioux Falls. Andy graduated from South Dakota State University with a BS in History in 2003 and an MS in the Administration of Student Personnel Services in 2005.

Anna Peterson
Housing Coordinator/Retention Coordinator
Anna started with STI Housing in the Fall of 2011. Previously she has served in several Student Services positions at both Globe University and Southwest Minnesota State University. She graduated from SMSU with a BS in Business Administration in 2008 and is currently pursuing her MS degree in Education.
She also serves as a Retention Coordinator and has daytime office hours in the Student Success Center

Andre Baruand
Housing Coordinator/Academic Recovery Coordinator
Andre started with STI Housing in the Fall of 2012. He graduated from Augustana College with a BS in Government & International Affairs and recently completed his MS in Educational Administration and Policy. He also serves as a Retention Coordinator and has daytime office hours in the Student Success Center.

Officer Kyle Jensen
Housing Security Officer
Kyle began his time as Housing Security Officer in January 2013. He previous positions include security at Minnesota State/Moorhead and St. Cloud University. He is a licensed Deputy Sheriff with the Minnehaha County Sheriff's Department.
