MEET CHELLEE NEMEC, SOUTHEAST TECH'S INSTITUTIONAL ADVANCEMENT OFFICER

 

 

Promoting positive community and economic growth in the Sioux Empire.

Chellee Nemec moved to Sioux Falls from Highmore South Dakota. She studied Business Administration at Southeast Tech and proceeded to work in the fast paced environment of sales and business development. She found her true passion for philanthropy and fundraising when she co-founded the non-profit Sioux Empire Adopt. Since then she has worked for the March of Dimes and Good Samaritan Society. Chellee’s outstanding service to non-profit organizations earned her national recognition for being a Presidential Award winner. In her career as a non-profit leader she has enjoyed success in creating successful fundraising campaigns, grant writing, public speaking, volunteer management, and training volunteer managers. Chellee has shared her talents by serving on the Sioux Empire Community Theater Board of Directors, Project Car Board of Directors, and South Eastern Council of Government Transportation Coordination Committee as a participant and the Transit Taskforce in conjunction with the City of Sioux Falls.

Chellee also advanced her education by attending the University of South Dakota for her Executive Masters in Public Administration.

Being an alumnus with a passion for philanthropy made her a natural fit for Southeast Tech. Chellee started as the Advancement Officer for the Southeast Tech Foundation in 2014.
In her free time, she enjoys attending live music venues, golfing, and attending sporting events of her two boys, nieces and nephews. She is also known among family and friends as a theme party guru.
