A Software Support Specialist loads software packages such as operating systems, word processors, or spreadsheet programs into a computer. They answer client inquiries in person and via telephone concerning systems operation; diagnose system hardware, software and operator problems; and recommend or perform minor remedial actions to correct problems based on the knowledge of system operations.

Students interested in completing a two year AAS degree should take ENGL 101T in place of COMM 102 and register for Computer Programming, AAS Degree.
