Pharmacy Technicians perform nondiscretionary functions under the supervision of licensed pharmacists. Tasks include taking prescription orders and completing computer entry of these; selecting and counting out medications; checking for outdated drugs; operating cash register; coordinating drug orders; filling unit dose packages; preparing IV bags with medication; and performing drug calculations per physicians’ orders.
