Phlebotomists draw blood from patients or donors in hospitals, blood banks, or similar facilities for analysis or other medical purposes. They apply tourniquets to arms, locate accessible veins, swab puncture areas with disinfectant and insert needles into veins to draw blood into collection tubes or bags. This is an excellent cross-over program for Nuclear Medicine Technology.

Background checks and drug screenings are required for this program. For more information please see
Additional Program Requirements.
