Fascinated by taking electronics apart just to see how they work? At Southeast Tech, get to where you want to be in just two years with an Electronics degree. Students learn how to apply technical knowledge of electronic components and electrical theory to real-world projects and experiences. Math skills are extremely important, along with the ability to effectively troubleshoot problems. Electronics technology is a constantly-evolving field that is in high demand in today’s workforce.

Julie Sackett

Julie works with both the Networking and Nursing departments. She has more than 30 years of professional experience in healthcare, electronics industry and post-secondary education.

Julie graduated from St. Paul Technical College with an Associate Degree for License for Practical Nursing. As an LPN she worked primarily with the elderly. Julie graduated from Southeast Tech with an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Electronics Technology in 2000. She worked at Daktronics in the electronics field repairing circuits, revising procedures, working with schematics, training new employees and much more. In 2007, she accepted a position at Southeast Tech and worked with the Electronics and Mechatronics programs for 12 years. She currently works with the Networking program assisting the faculty and students and the Nursing program maintaining robotic simulators.
