Hurricane Harvey Disaster Relief
Please join Southeast Tech, Craft & Associates, Feeding South Dakota/America, KSFY, KELO-FM, KELO-AM, KTWB-FM, KRRO-FM, KWSN-AM and Q95-7 as well as the South Dakota Trucking Association in an effort to provide basic necessities to those most in need from the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey. Students and the campus community are all taking part in donating the following items for disaster-stricken communities this Friday, September 8 at 13th and Phillips Avenue downtown Sioux Falls. All donations will be delivered to the Houston Food Bank for distribution.
• Canned ready-to-eat items with pull tops: vegetables, fruit
• Protein in pouches or pull-top cans: tuna, beef stew, chili, canned chicken
• Peanut butter
• Snacks: granola bars, breakfast bars, etc.
• Paper goods
• Cleaning supplies: mops, mop buckets, brooms, bleach wipes, garbage bags, bug spray
• Purina Dog, Puppy, Cat and Kitten Chow
• Clumping Cat Litter
As of September 1, 50 counties were flooded, 39,000 people were in shelters, and 56,000 911 calls were received in just 15 hours. It’s estimated that it will affect 13 million people from Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennessee and Kentucky. Let’s do our part.
We can make a real difference for Hurricane Harvey relief and recovery efforts! We will have a truck ready to be loaded with your generous donations this Friday, September 8 at 13th and Phillips Avenue downtown Sioux Falls.
