Mike Rowe Talks with Students, Faculty on Campus

Mike Rowe, host of the popular TV series “Dirty Jobs,” addressed a packed auditorium at Southeast Tech on Thursday for a discussion on why technical education is more important today than ever before.
Rowe, who was in South Dakota as part of the “New Day in Tech Ed” tour, spoke about his educational and career experiences and introduced Kelly Cline, a Southeast Tech alumnus who also received a Mike Rowe Works Work Ethic Scholarship.
Cline was in his mid-30s when he made the decision to change his career direction. After receiving the Work Ethic Scholarship, he enrolled in the HVAC/R program at Southeast Tech.
