Southeast Technical College is committed to providing services and support that ensure students can access and participate in all the activities, programs and services available to them. Our services are open to students with a qualifying and documented learning, physical or psychological disability.
Disability Services is an integral part of Southeast Technical College, committed to ensuring students with disabilities shall not be discriminated against because of their disability in accordance with Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, and Americans with Disabilities Act Amendment Act of 2008. Disability Services provides support to students with disabilities to ensure full and equal access to the educational opportunities, programs, and activities Southeast Tech offers through the provision of reasonable and appropriate accommodations. Reasonable and appropriate accommodations do not fundamentally alter the nature of programs or lower academic and other essential performance standards.
Appropriate accommodations are provided to all students with a qualifying disability.
Admission to Southeast Tech
Admission decisions are made without regard to disability. You are not required to disclose a disability during the admissions process.
Once admitted to Southeast Tech, students in need of accommodation must meet with Disability Services and self-disclose their disability to request and receive appropriate accommodations.
Register with Disability Services
Students must complete a registration form for Disability Services.
Students must provide qualifying, professional documentation of their disability. Documentation requirements vary according to the unique nature of the student’s disability. Learning disabilities, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), traumatic brain injuries and most psychiatric disabilities may require a full psycho-educational test battery as documentation. View details on acceptable documentation.
