As a Cardiovascular Sonographer, you'll play a pivotal role in diagnosing heart disease, arterial and venous conditions, and cerebrovascular diseases. Your role will involve obtaining crucial structural, functional and hemodynamic information for interpretation by leading healthcare professionals such as cardiologists, vascular surgeons and radiologists.

Why STC: Clinical Experience
Before completing your Associate of Applied Science degree at STC, you will complete a seven-month clinical rotation at a medical center in the U.S. In addition, you will gain expertise in recognizing pathology and understanding related physiology to acquire images, troubleshooting problems with sonographic equipment and adapting exam protocols based on pathology or physiology variations. Accreditation: Southeast Technical College’s Cardiovascular Sonography program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP).
Board Exams: Southeast Tech’s CAAHEP accreditation requires that Cardiovascular Sonography students take all board exams before completion of the program. You will receive the credentials of Registered Vascular Technologies and Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer by the ARDMS following successful completion of your exams and program.
Hands-on Learning: Located in the Terrence Sullivan Health Science Center on Southeast Tech's campus, the Cardiovascular Sonography program uses STC’s state-of-the-art sonography lab to give you first-hand experience with today’s technology.
