Construction Managers, also called project managers or general contractors, oversee a variety of projects in the fast-paced construction industry in Sioux Falls and nationwide. As a Construction Manager from Southeast Technical College, you will be a valuable asset on any residential, commercial or industrial project.
Your career duties will include employee oversight, work schedules, procuring materials and creating budget estimates. In just two years at STC, you will be ready to launch your career as a scheduler, jobsite superintendent, project manager or estimator. Your other duties might include:
- Reporting on work progress to clients
- Responding to emergencies or work delays
- Meeting building / safety codes and other regulations
- Interpreting contracts with specialized professionals
- Collaborating with engineers and architects
