-
Request Your Transcripts
Southeast Tech requires an official high school transcript or GED certificate and a college transcript if you are a transfer student. If your records are listed under a different name, have the school place your current name on the transcript. If you haven’t graduated high school, send a partial transcript now. Provide your final transcript (with graduation date) after graduation. Use the High School/College Transcript Release form as a guide.
College Transcript - To obtain your official college transcripts, you must contact all colleges you've attended to request an official transcript be sent directly from the college to STC. If you’ve attended multiple institutions, you will need to request official transcripts from each to receive transfer credit.

Southeast Technical College welcomes all students regardless of native language. However, the language of instruction at Southeast Technical College is English, and students must have strong English language skills to be successful at Southeast Tech. If English is not your first language, you may find the fast pace of instruction to be challenging. STC reserves the right to require proof of language proficiency during the enrollment process.
Southeast Tech maintains an open door admissions policy and accepts students who can benefit from the various kinds of instruction available and are at least 16 years of age, have completed their GED or are high school graduates. Students who are under 18 years of age and have not graduated from high school must see a Southeast Tech Admissions Representative before being admitted to a credit class. Prospective students who have not completed high school are encouraged to complete their high school education or work toward receiving a GED certification.
Students who have completed a high-school level of education outside the United States are required to complete a transcript evaluation with a reputable organization affiliate with the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES).
Southeast Tech does not admit international students with a F1, F2, J1, M1 or M2 visa status.
All students are welcome to apply regardless of citizenship or residency status. An undocumented student’s legal status does not impact his or her admission decision. However, undocumented students may not be eligible for Federal Financial Aid.
Students who desire to complete their high school studies online must choose their school carefully. Many online high schools are not legitimate high schools. These schools promise that you can complete your entire high school career in as little as a few weeks for only a small fee. In addition, while they state that they are accredited high schools, their accreditation agencies consist of nothing more than a website and list no employees or contact information. These schools are obviously fraudulent; therefore, the diploma you receive is not legitimate and may in fact be illegal to use in many states. It is for this reason that Southeast Tech does not accept diplomas earned from many online high schools. To search for legitimate online high schools, go to the Distance Education Training Council website.
Homeschooled high school students applying for admission into Southeast Tech have must complete the following steps to meet the high school diploma requirement:
- Provide a homeschool high school record of completion.
- Provide the Notification for Public School Exemption Certificate form that was submitted to the local school district to document all four years of high school.
OR
Provide the most recent Notification for Public School Exemption Certificate only, if signed by a certified school official.
Students may be asked to complete the Next-Generation ACCUPLACER for Admission Decision and/or Placement into college level coursework. If an ACT was taken, provide a copy of your ACT scores for determination.
Interested in taking a class or two but not interested in earning an entire degree? Southeast Tech offers a diverse selection of courses. We only require you complete the Non-Degree Seeking Application for enrollment. Students are not eligible for financial aid if they are not seeking a degree. Prerequisites must be met prior to enrollment. Contact Admissions to learn more about your options.
