Academic Advising & Registration

All new Southeast Technical College students are required to attend an Academic Advising and Registration (AAR) event prior to starting classes. This is where you will meet your advisor, register for classes, tour campus and learn about campus resources.

AAR Registration

New students registering for Spring and Summer 2023 classes should attend a Mini AAR session. Registration dates for Fall 2023 will be available in April 2023.

Complete the Two-Step Process

If you are a current Southeast Tech student and have attended an AAR Day in the past, you do not need to attend again. Instead, please contact your academic advisor to register for spring and summer classes. 


    Pay your $75 non-refundable Registration Fee on our secure CASHnet site using your student ID and password.

    Complete the AAR registration form and select your Academic Advising and Registration session. Your spot for AAR Day will not be confirmed until both steps have been completed.

If this will be your first site visit, log in with:

USERNAME: firstname.lastname
PASSWORD: If you do not know your password, enter your Username, click “Continue” and then click “I forgot my password.”

AAR Dates

Check-in begins a half hour before the start of Mini AAR sessions. 

During AAR, You Will:

  • Register for classes.
  • Meet Academic and Student Success Advisors and finalize your schedule.
  • Meet with Financial Aid staff.
  • Learn about student support resources.
  • Learn about the Bookstore - it's where you'll get books and supplies.

During Mini AAR, You Will:

  • Register for classes.
  • Meet your Student Success Advisor and finalize your class schedule.
  • Attend an Information Session designed for parents and families.
  • Meet with Financial Aid and Business Office staff about loans and payment plan options.
  • Learn about campus resources dedicated to your success.


  • Government issued picture ID (e.g., Driver’s License or ID Card)
  • Outstanding Financial Aid paperwork, if applicable.
  • Immunization Record: refer to the catalog for details.
  • Official transcripts, if applicable.
    • Final high school transcript. If you submitted your high school transcript while still enrolled in high school, provide an updated transcript once you have graduated.
    • Official college transcripts. If you have successfully completed college level coursework, submit official college transcripts to Southeast Tech before you attend an AAR. If you bring official transcripts with you to an AAR, make sure they are in a sealed envelope.
  • Placement scores: Please submit your ACT, SAT or ACCUPLACER scores to the Admissions Office if you have not already done so. If you have not completed an ACT, SAT or an ACCUPLACER, you may need to take the Next-Generation ACCUPLACER Exam for placement. Sign up online at the STC Testing Center.
