New students at Southeast Tech are required to attend one JumpStart session prior to the first day of class. JumpStart days are tailored to the specific requirements of each academic program and provide students with a faculty-led orientation session, an opportunity to connect with classmates and become more familiar with Southeast Tech.
Students will also set up their laptops with required software, and purchase books, supplies, tools and uniforms.
When to attend?
Students will be assigned to a JumpStart day based on his or her academic program. The date and time will be made available at the Academic Advising & Registration (AAR) day.
What to bring?
- Student ID card
- Laptop and charger you will use for school. If you plan to purchase a Southeast Tech laptop, you may do so during JumpStart.
Students moving into on-campus housing may pick up their keys in The Link between Andrea Hall and Nicolay Hall from 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
On-campus childcare is available at the Scarbrough Center, but must be arranged prior to JumpStart. Children are not allowed to attend JumpStart sessions. Please call for more information.
