Drug Screens
Southeast Technical College requires drug screens for all students entering Law Enforcement, Early Childhood Specialist, Veterinary Technician and Healthcare programs*. This is to ensure a safe clinical or practicum environment for both students and the public, and to meet the contractual requirements of area healthcare facilities.
*Medical Coding programs are exempt from this requirement.
Students needing a drug screen for admission or to register for program classes may use any facility of their choice that can do a Non-DOT 5 panel drug test, as long as the results are sent directly to Southeast Technical College.
Drug Screen Information
- This is a self-pay drug test.
- Drink no more than 40 oz of water within a three-hour period prior to the testing.
- Bring a photo ID with you.
- Bring a copy of the Drug Screen form for your provider to complete and send back to STC with the test results.
Suggested Drug Screen Locations
The following locations are some of the options in South Dakota and the Sioux Falls region. Students use any facility of their choice that can do a Non-DOT 5 panel drug test, as long as the results are sent directly to Southeast Technical College.
