Pearson Vue (GED) Testing

Southeast Technical College - Testing Center

The GED test is a high-school equivalency examination developed by the GED Testing Service of the American Council on Education. The credential received for passing the test is widely recognized by colleges, training schools and employers as equivalent to a high school diploma.

There are four parts of the GED test. Each part of the test is a different length:

  1. Math - 120 minutes
  2. Science - 95 minutes
  3. Social Studies - 75 minutes
  4. Reasoning Through Language Arts - 155 minutes

Cost

Each section (Math, Science, Social Studies and Reasoning Through Language Arts) cost $50. The total for all four sections is $200.

Testing Day Details

  • Bring your government-issued photo ID with you.
  • Results are posted on MyGED® in less than 3 hours.

Students may register for the Pearson Vue test online at ged.com. All testing is done at Southeast Tech's Testing Center.
