Dana Davis

Dana Davis graduated from STC in 1995 with an AAS Degree in Autobody Repair and Painting. Since then he has worked for independent operators and dealership facilities throughout the region. Shops in Brookings, Tea, Watertown, and Sioux Falls. While in industry he learned painting, fabrication, frame repair, and body repair processes, advancing into Estimating, Production and Shop Management positions in dealer operations. Being involved with these organizations has giving him the ability to work in all aspects of the collision industry. He began teaching at STC in 2019 to begin the next step in his career path, having mentored many young technicians in industry. Since starting teaching in January of that year his contributions to the program include: ADAS training with calibrations, I-CAR welding such as Aluminum and Silicon Brazing welding processes, and implementing PPG camera technology for color matching. Outside of Program duties he enjoys hunting and fishing with his family. A spot on the Missouri River for summer enjoyment, and traveling. He also indulges himself with House renovations and of course working on cars. He looks forward to involvement and development of the next generation of industry technicians that will continue reshape the collision industry.

Education: AAS Degree at Southeast Technical College for Collision Repair and Refinish. ASE certifications for Collision Refinish, and Damage Analysis/ Estimating I-CAR certifications, including Steel welding Certified.
