Jeff Van Overbeke

Jeff Van Overbeke began teaching Communication studies at Southeast Technical College in 2003. Jeff holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from South Dakota State University in Brookings, where he majored in Communication studies, with minors in Journalism, Radio and Television, and Theatre. He also obtained his Master of Science Degree from South Dakota State University in Brookings.

Jeff’s primary responsibility at Southeast Technical College is instruction of public speaking in both the traditional classroom and online modalities. In addition to his teaching responsibilities, Jeff mentors new instructors, serves on the graduation committee and chairs the curriculum committee.

In his free time, Jeff enjoys spending time with his family, acquiring and delivering dad jokes, and anticipating the day the Minnesota Vikings will win the Super Bowl.
