Susanne Huizing

Dr. Susanne Huizing, Director of Student Success, brings over three decades of diverse educational experience to the forefront of her leadership. Her dedication to making a lasting impact in education is evident in the transformation of the STC Academic Resource Center (ARC) into a dynamic place of student empowerment. 

Dr. Huizing’s vision is to revolutionize technical education through the development of innovative and comprehensive co-curricular learning initiatives. These initiatives are designed to equip students with the necessary support and confidence to achieve their career goals and see them flourish as vital members of our community.

With a personal journey that resonates with many on campus, Dr. Huizing navigated her academic path as a first-generation student overcoming undiagnosed learning challenges. This experience has fueled her passion for providing intentional support for students, ensuring their academic and personal success.

She is a collaborative force, working alongside students, faculty, and staff to create inclusive resources that serve the entire campus community. Her commitment to student success is not just her profession—it’s her calling.
