Tara Carruthers

Tara Carruthers is a Student Success Advisor and Student Initiatives Coordinator at Southeast Technical College. She has been in the education field since 2007. Tara graduated from the University of South Dakota with a bachelor's degree in elementary education and a master's in education. After teaching at the elementary level in Omaha, Neb., for several years, Tara transitioned to the collegiate level at Southeast Tech in 2014 as a Housing and Retention Coordinator. In 2021, she moved to work full-time in the Student Success Center as a Student Success Advisor.

Tara is passionate about supporting students and helping them realize their potential to achieve their academic, professional and personal goals.
