This position will provide quality instruction for students completing the Phlebotomy requirements of their specific program of study. Responsible for developing, delivering, and enhancing well prepared courses and relevant assignments; providing fair assessment of student learning through feedback and grading; and supporting academic success for all students. 

Job Requirements:
  • Master’s Degree in Healthcare; or a Master’s Degree plus 18 graduate hours in Healthcare preferred; or a Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare required.
  • Minimum of three years of work in Phlebotomy or related field required.
  • Medical Laboratory Scientists (MLS) or Medical Technologists (MT) required.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of instructional needs of technology college students.
  • Availability to teach day, evening, and online courses.
  • Post-hire criminal background check required.
  • Post-hire requirement to obtain South Dakota post-secondary teacher credential.
Salary is based on highest degree in field:
Doctoral: $890 per credit hour
Masters: $840 per credit hour
Less than Masters: $775 per credit hour

VIEW JOB DESCRIPTION

This position will provide quality nursing clinical instruction for students completing the Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) Program. Position will start with the 2020 Spring semester that begins on January 13.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Provide on-site clinical instruction and supervision at various healthcare facilities in the Sioux Falls area that prepare students for entry-level healthcare positions.
  • Provide student orientation at the student’s assigned healthcare facility, to include the hospital’s job description for nursing staff, the policy and procedure manual, location of educational resources, safety precautions and emergency protocols and blood-borne pathogens protection.
  • Assign students to a variety of medical departments/procedures to gain experience in the role of the nurse (Licensed Practical or Registered Nurses).
  • Promote a positive learning environment with emphasis on patient/student safety and compliance that meets national accrediting agency standards.
  • Exhibit professional behavior and communication that serves as a positive role model for students.
  • Complete weekly clinical evaluations with systematic observations, and timely objective/subjective feedback to the student.
  • Meet regularly with Southeast Tech’s Nursing administration to maintain productive two-way communication about the program, the students, and the hospital/medical facility.
Job Requirements: 
  • Associate’s degree in Nursing required for LPN Instructors.
  • Must have current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in South Dakota.
  • Three years relevant clinical work experience required, within the last 5 years.
  • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office and Microsoft Windows.
  • Requires scheduling flexibility needed to accommodate program requirements.
  • Must be able to commit 1-2 week days during a clinical rotation.
  • Ability to travel to area facilities as needed.

VIEW JOB DESCRIPTION

This position provides excellent customer service to process food orders at the campus restaurant, Paavos Pizza and Grill.

Job Duties:
  • Greet and assist customers as they enter the restaurant.
  • Ensure all orders are processed and delivered to the customers in a timely manner.
  • Accept cash and return the correct change.
  • Respond to customer inquiries, issue receipts, and record customer suggestions.
  • Tally money in the cash drawer at the beginning and end of the work shift.
  • Clean and arrange service, eating, and kitchen spaces.
  • Assist other staff as needed.
Job requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent qualification required.
  • Proven experience in a customer service role is an advantage.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good mathematical skills.

Great starting wage, team atmosphere, and hours. Monday- Friday. Hours may vary from 8 am- 2:30 pm. No weekends or holidays.

 This position prepares food orders made on a grill at the campus restaurant, Paavo's Pizza and Grill.

Job Duties:
  • Take food orders from customers.
  • Prepare specialty foods such as burgers, chicken, and fries that require a short preparation time.
  • Cook and package batches of food, which are prepared to order or kept warm until sold.
  • Operate large-volume cooking equipment such as grills and deep-fat fryers.
  • Measure ingredients for specific food items being prepared.
  • Verify that prepared food meets requirements for quality and quantity.
  • Clean food preparation areas, cooking surfaces, and utensils.
  • Maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas.
Job requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent qualification required.
  • Proven experience in a customer service role is an advantage.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience on grill preferred.

This position provides quality instruction for the Diagnostic Medical Sonography (DMS) program that will prepare students for entry level in positions in the Medical Sonography field. Responsible for all aspects of program curriculum development and delivery initiatives. Ensures internship opportunities and effectiveness. Continual assessment and enhancement of programs to meet organization, industry, and federal standards.

 Job and Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography required; or Bachelor’s Degree in a related Health Field with ARDMS registration in Abdomen and Obstetrics/Gynecology or ARRT registration in Sonography required.
  • Master’s Degree with ARDMS or ARRT registration preferred
  • Minimum of three years of verified related experience required.
  • Strong knowledge of HIPAA and FERPA required.
  • Must have ARDMS registration in Abdomen and Obstetrics/Gynecology or ARRT registration in Sonography.
  • Preferred minimum of two years of post-secondary teaching and applied curriculum development experience.
