Southeast Technical College Reveals New Logo

Focus on Workforce Mission Continues

Southeast Technical College LogoSIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Southeast Tech unveiled its new logo today to reflect the institution’s change in name to Southeast Technical College on July 1. The college will continue in its mission to educate individuals for dynamic and rewarding careers that promote lifetime success and meet the workforce needs of our region.

During the 2020 legislative session, Gov. Kristi Noem signed HB1083, which renamed the four South Dakota technical institutes to technical colleges.

“We are really excited about becoming a technical college and aligning more closely with our counterparts in higher education across the country,” said Southeast Tech’s President Bob Griggs. “Now more than ever, technical education is essential to meeting the workforce needs of our city and region. With the rising demand for essential workers, technical education will continue to be vital.”

With the new logo and name change on July 1, Southeast Tech is also refreshing its branding and marketing campaigns.

“The timing is right to make additional updates and evolve our brand,” said Griggs. “Our digital ads and printed literature will include the tagline ‘The Smart Way Up,’ which we thought was a true reflection of Southeast Tech as an institution.”

The next semester begins Aug. 24, and there is still time to get enrolled for fall classes. Contact the Admissions Office at 605-367-6040 or admissions@southeasttech.edu for more information.
