Pharmacy Technician Instructor Selected for Board

Jessica Weber, the director of Southeast Technical College’s Pharmacy Technician program, has been selected to sit on the Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA) Health Professions Competitive Events Board.

HOSA is a national student organization whose main focus is 100% healthcare. One of its cornerstones is its Competitive Events program that gives students the opportunity to complete projects, analyze problems, and practice procedures all relating to healthcare. Through the program, students gain confidence and understanding about healthcare professions.

Weber was nominated for this position by the Executive Director of the South Dakota HOSA organization. She is in her second year of teaching at Southeast Technical College and has more than 15 years’ experience as a pharmacy technician.
