Southeast Technical College donated about 10 buckets of fresh produce to the Center for Active Generations in Sioux Falls. All produce was grown on-site by students in the Horticulture program, and representatives from the STC Foundation and Horticulture and some general education students assisted with the harvest. The fresh goods included squash, pears, tomatoes, green beans, cantaloupe, watermelon and peppers. Foundation Director Stephen Williamson said that many of the patrons at the Center of Active Generations are on a fixed income and appreciate the fresh goods. Williamson also noted that the new partnership with Active Generations is new and is excited to see it progress in the future.
