Officials at Southeast Technical College and South Dakota School of Mines and Technology (SDSM&T) are solidifying a new articulation agreement with a signing ceremony Friday, April 12, 2024, 9 a.m. at the George S. Mickelson Center, on the STC campus, 2320 N. Career Ave.

The agreement allows graduates of Southeast Tech’s Civil Engineering Technology program to transfer 40 credits and continue their education to earn a bachelor's degree from SDSM&T.

“This agreement provides additional opportunities and pathways for STC, increasing the value of their technical education,” said Dr. Benjamin Valdez, Vice President of Academic Affairs at STC. “It is also beneficial to the Sioux Falls region and the state of South Dakota as we work to fulfill our workforce-centered mission.”

The new agreement is the first between SDSM&T and a technical college in South Dakota.
