STC Healthcare Simulation Center - $11 Million

Southeast Tech’s Healthcare simulation center is a bridge between classroom learning and real-life clinical experiences. The facility will allow STC to grow enrollment in healthcare and place additional qualified students in the workforce.

In a simulation environment, healthcare students will learn essential skills from practicing medical procedures on simulators to learn and practice specific medical techniques. The simulation center is a 45,000 square foot multi-use facility that will house:

  • State-of-the-art hospital, clinical and emergency rooms for the nursing programs. 
  • Expanded surgical suites for the Surgical Technology program.
  • A modernized cardiac invasive operating room for the Cardiac Invasive Technology program.
  • Simulated general practice doctor’s office exam rooms for the Medical Assisting and Phlebotomy programs.
  • A modern laboratory for the Medical Laboratory Technician lab program.
  • An updated and expanded paramedic lab for the Paramedic Science program.

Electrician Program Expansion - $1 Million

The Electrician program at STC hits all the marks – the ROI is high, there is opportunity for growth, and it has quality support from industry.  This investment would allow STC to double the size of the program.

Capital Improvements - $1.2 Million

Updated equipment that offers students true-to-life learning experiences is vital for education at STC. The State of South Dakota and Governor’s Office of Economic Development (GOED) is has provided matching funds to maximize the effectiveness of this investment.
