STC Celebrates Week of the Young Child

Students in Southeast Technical College’s Early Childhood Specialist program are taking part this week in a national event to celebrate Week of the Young Child. Students in the Early Childhood Student Organization have put together activity packets to help celebrate that are being distributed both electronically and across campus.

“Our students are passionate about learning the different layers of child development, relationship building, guidance, curriculum planning and the overall quality standards of early education,” said Loretta Leloux, Early Childhood instructor. “As we celebrate this week, we hope we can encourage those on campus to thank someone who has made an impact in a child’s life.”
