Harrisburg Students Awarded General Construction Certificates
Twenty-two Harrisburg High School students were granted General Construction Certificates through Southeast Tech last month. The ceremony was held in conjunction with the district’s ribbon-cutting ceremony on its new CTE facility.
To obtain the certificate, the students completed coursework and lab time, learning about construction basics, equipment and print reading. Of the 22 students that obtained a certificate, 12 are continuing this spring to get their Residential Construction Certificate, and six new students will start on their General Construction Certificate.
Southeast Tech offers construction certificates in General Construction, Residential Construction and Commercial Construction, that can be stacked and applied to an associate degree in Construction Management Technology.
