Welding Tests
Southeast Tech is an Accredited Test Facility

Southeast Tech is recognized as an Accredited Test Facility for the American Welding Society (AWS). Welders can schedule evaluations, testing and training to further skills and gain certifications. We partner with companies that wish to offer additional welding certifications and endorsements for their employees, and can create custom solutions for industry training needs.

Customized Welding Training for up to four people by our AWS Certified Welding Inspector and Educator on any process or procedure. Classes often run through the weld procedures specifications. This class can be used to prepare for certification testing. Materials are supplied by Southeast Tech. Students are responsible for their own
PEE.

Certification test will be given on 1-inch carbon steel with material thickness qualification from 1/8 inches through unlimited material thickness. The student will be awarded the AWS Unlimited Certification upon successful completion of the AWS Performance Weld Test. Materials are supplied by Southeast Tech. Students are responsible for their own
PPE.

Certification test will be given on 3/8 inch carbon steel with material thickness qualification from 1/8 in to 3/4 in material thickness. The student will be awarded the AWS Limited Certification upon successful completion of the AWS Performance Weld Test. Materials are supplied by Southeast Tech. Students are responsible for their own
PPE.

Industry partners supply the pipe and the Material Test Records (MTR) for the certification test. The student will be awarded the AWS Pipe Certification upon successful completion the AWS Pipe Performance Weld Test. Students are responsible for their own PPE.

The Southeast Tech Accredited Test Facility works with companies to set up Weld Procedures Specifications that can be used for testing. This does not include tests, but will assist the company in determining procedures that may be used to test its employees in the future. |
