Admission Criteria

Two of the following: 
  • ACT: 18
  • SAT: 960–980 
  • HS GPA: 2.0
  • GED: 500
  • College GPA: 2.0
  • Professional Discretion
If students do not meet two of the above requirements, they are required to take the Next-Generation ACCUPLACER:
  • Writing: 255
  • Arithmetic: 217

Additional Program Requirements

Background Check and Drug Screen 

Completion of a background check and drug screen are required before program classes start.

Uniforms
Uniforms are required for this program and are available from the Southeast Tech Bookstore.

The following required supplies can be purchased in the Southeast Tech Bookstore:

  • Blood Pressure Cuff
  • Stethoscope

Technology Requirements

Southeast Technical Institute's Medical Assistant program is a Bring Your Own Laptop (BYOL) program. You may purchase a laptop on your own or from the Southeast Tech Support Center.
