Admission Criteria  

1 of the following:  
  • HS GPA: 2.5 GPA - Algebra I and II “C” average or higher
  • GED: 550
  • ACT: 17
  • ACT Math: 17
  • SAT: 920
  • SAT Math: 470
  • College GPA: 2.0 GPA - Based on 12+ credits
  • Professional Discretion
If students do not meet one of the above requirements, they are required to take the Next-Generation ACCUPLACER: 
  • Writing: 240
  • Arithmetic: 217

Tools 

Tools are required for this program and are available from the Southeast Tech Bookstore.

Safety Test 

During JumpStart or the first week of classes, a safety test will be administered. Students are required to pass with a score of 100% and are allowed three retakes before beginning lab.

Technology Requirements

Southeast Technical Institute's Electrician program is a Bring Your Own Laptop (BYOL) program. You may purchase a laptop on your own or from the Southeast Tech Support Center.
