Your career opportunities include working for electrical contractors as an electrician apprentice. Upon completion of the Electrician program, Southeast Tech graduates receive 2000 hours toward certification as a Journeyman and will be placed in the second year of the electrician’s apprenticeship program. Do you enjoy working with your hands in a casual environment? Are you looking for a career in the trades with incredible growth and opportunity? At Southeast Tech, get to where you want to be in just two years with an Electrician degree. As an electrician, you’ll work on residential, commercial, industrial and agricultural operations including installing and maintaining electrical systems. You’ll learn how to install and maintain wiring and lighting systems. You’ll experience significant hands-on laboratory experiences including blueprint reading to properly layout electrical systems, circuit design, and installation of other electrical equipment using hand tools and power tools.

Lindsey joined Southeast Tech in 2015 to lead the Electrician program. He has been in the electrical industry for more than 15 years.

His electrical experience includes commercial, residential, agricultural, industrial and service. He is a Master Electrician who holds Electrical Contractor Licenses through the South Dakota State Electrical Commission and the City of Sioux Falls. He also holds a Class A Journeyman License in the state of Minnesota.

Mike joined Southeast Tech's Electrician program in 2016. He has been in the electrical industry for more than 15 years and is a Master Electrician.

His electrical experience includes service work, residential, commercial, agricultural and industrial wiring.

Mike is an electrical contractor in South Dakota and enjoys hunting and fishing on his time off.
