Your career opportunities include working for electrical contractors as an electrician apprentice. Upon completion of the Electrician program, Southeast Tech graduates receive 2000 hours toward certification as a Journeyman and will be placed in the second year of the electrician’s apprenticeship program. Do you enjoy working with your hands in a casual environment? Are you looking for a career in the trades with incredible growth and opportunity? At Southeast Tech, get to where you want to be in just two years with an Electrician degree. As an electrician, you’ll work on residential, commercial, industrial and agricultural operations including installing and maintaining electrical systems. You’ll learn how to install and maintain wiring and lighting systems. You’ll experience significant hands-on laboratory experiences including blueprint reading to properly layout electrical systems, circuit design, and installation of other electrical equipment using hand tools and power tools.

Mike Bezdichek

Mike joined Southeast Tech's Electrician program in 2016. He has been in the electrical industry for more than 15 years and is a Master Electrician.

His electrical experience includes service work, residential, commercial, agricultural and industrial wiring.

Mike is an electrical contractor in South Dakota and enjoys hunting and fishing on his time off.

Marcus has 15+ years of professional service in the electrical field. He is a 2002 graduate from Mitchell Technical Institute with a degree in Electrical Applied Sciences. Prior to becoming an instructor he spent 15 years working as an electrician for Elite Electric. 

During his time with Elite Electric he received his Journeyman’s License and gained valuable experience and a wealth of knowledge regarding the electrical field. To date he has wired one of the largest homes in Sioux Falls, a feat that took roughly four years to complete. Also during his time as an electrician he has had the opportunity to work with many apprentice electricians and contributed to their success in the electrical field. Many became Journeyman Electricians themselves. 
Marcus is looking forward to working with electrical students and helping them become successful electricians.
