Medical Assistants perform aseptic procedures, take vital signs, prepare patients for examinations, perform blood withdrawals, perform non-intravenous injections, provide first aid and assist in office, clinical and laboratory functions.

Career opportunities as a Medical Assistant include working in hospitals, specialized health facilities, clinics, outpatient care centers, hospice, nursing homes and extended care facilities. The region’s leading employers are seeking Southeast Tech graduates.

Beginning Fall 2019, we will be offering two cohorts: a traditional full-time program with classes being held Monday through Friday during the day and a part-time program with lectures held online and labs taking place a few evenings each week.
