Trucking Diploma - Heavy Equipment Diploma - AAS Degree
Diesel Technicians diagnose, repair and maintain all parts of diesel trucks - from the front bumper, to the rear crossmember, from the engine to the tires. The Diesel Technology program at Southeast Technical College offers students an associate degree option, as well as two different diploma tracks that will get you to work even faster.

Diesel Technology Associate Degree
Students looking for a well-rounded degree in diesel technolgy can combine both diploma tracks, and with some additional general education courses, earn an associate degree in two years.
Heavy Equipment Diploma
Students that want to work on machinery found in the agriculture and construction industries should consider the Heavy Equipment diploma. Students in this track study auxiliary drive systems and the abnormalities in construction and ag equipment, electro hydraulics, powertrains and computer controlled systems.
Trucking Diploma
For students that want to focus their careers on diesel trucks and the trucking industry should consider the Trucking diploma. On this track, students learn to repair and maintain over-the-road engine systems, body controls, chassis systems, electronic controls and preventative maintenance.

Hands-on Learning in Exceptional Facilities
Students in Southeast Tech's Diesel Technology associate degree and diploma programs learn by doing. Each program course has a hands-on lab component where students practice their skill with mock-ups and live work in Southeast Tech's true-to-life diesel laboratories located in the Ed Wood Trade and Industry Center and The HUB.

Get Ahead
The Get Ahead program is a Daimler Training North America (DTNA) program, from STC's Sponsor I State Truck Center. It encompasses video training modules for Detroit engines and Freightliner truck systems.
Kenworth Essentials
Kenworth Essentials, sponsored by Sioux Falls Kenworth, includes select components of training that all employees working at a Kenworth dealership complete.
Cost
Costs are calculated based on a charge of $255 per credit hour, plus applicable fees.
